The 2017 Tour was a fantastic event, clearly the biggest and best ever to date.  To see for yourself, please proceed to the 2017 Photos page to view some incredible pictures provided courtesy of Jeanine and Jim Samuelson.

After a one year hiatus in 2018, the planning has started for the thirteen edition of the TdG, which will take place in June of 2019.  Please mark your calendars now and plan to join us for the best ever TdG.

For three days each summer, cycling friends from all over Michigan and beyond will tour and collegially contest their egos upon bicycles along the beautiful county roads of Leelanau.  Each day will consist of 40 to 70 miles of riding, with a few sprints and king of the mountain events mixed in for added pleasure.   This year’s course is still in the design phase.  Please send me a note if you have suggestions.

Although the Thursday ride is an extremely friendly event and riders of any and all abilities are welcome, there is some competition built in for those that are interested.  Prizes are awarded to the Sprint champion, Mountain champion and Overall champion.  One rule; you must be wearing a TdG jersey to be eligible to score points, as one must “look good to ride good”!

New for 2019, we will be hosting the Thursdaynight celebratory dinner at Cherry Basket Farms, which is a beautiful rustic farmland venue located just north of Omena.  The evening will include a delicious Menu, awards, dancing and music.  This should not be missed!
